Community Closet raises £831 for Lyme Heartbeat

Kelly Scott and Janice Dakin have raised an amazing £831 for Lyme Heartbeat with their Community Closet event at Woodmead Halls.

Hundreds of items of preloved clothing and shoes, donated by the local community, were on sale for just £1 per item plus a range of Christmas gifts and decorations. 

There was also a raffle with some fabulous prizes. 

Lyme Heartbeat look after a network of 13 publicly accessible defibrillators in the town. A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest. The devices are housed in cabinets and require on going maintenance including replacing the electrode pads and batteries.
