After an eighteen year career in the entertainment business in music artist management, photographer Andrew Haydon moved to a village near Bridport in West Dorset in 2018 where he focused on the abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes that Dorset has to offer. Developing his own style, he enjoys harnessing Dorset’s wonderful light and particularly how it can be interpreted in black and white photography.
Andrew will be returning to the Malthouse Gallery with Drift this autumn, his second solo exhibition in 2025. In this collection he explores the natural world through the lens of black and white photography considering the quiet relationships between movement, stillness permanence and change. The series invites viewers to pause, to connect with the rhythms and stillness of the natural world. It is less about documenting place and more about capturing feeling.
The exhibition runs from Thursday 11 until Wednesday 17 September and is open daily from 10:30am until 5pm. Admission is free of charge.
