Husband and wife team Robin Shelton and Alison Shelton Brown are excited to be putting on their first exhibition together at the Malthouse Gallery.

Married in 2021, they share a home, a studio and a life together in rural east Devon. Alison creates beguiling and intriguing ceramic art that investigates the interstices between wall and body, wearability and vulnerability, whilst always being environmentally mindful. Robin’s practice incorporates jewellery drawn on a scale of 1:1 in three dimensions, collage, drawing and photography reliant solely on a tiny pinhole. 

For this exhibition especially, Alison will be concentrating on a bird theme. In addition to other recent works, the exhibition will feature a new installation featuring video and mixed media.

The exhibition runs from Monday 7 until Thursday 13 October and is open daily from 10am until 5pm. Entry is free of charge.
