Mixed media artist Julie Oldfield is a member of the Society of Women Artists and has been shortlisted at the Royal Academy. Although she started painting on canvas, Julie’s extraordinary paintings are now mainly on copper and brass sheets after she became interested in using various textural materials and site-specific elements. 

Entropy is Julie's new exhibition, showcasing her abstract paintings where the weathering, fire and oxidisation have been left to take their own path on the surface of the copper sheets.

This body of work is heavily influenced by the Aurora skies we were lucky enough to witness in 2024, along with the infinite inspiration to be gained from the Jurassic Coast.

The exhibition runs from Friday 26 September until Sunday 5 October and is open daily from 10:30am until 4:30pm. Admission is free of charge.
