Learn how to clean, prepare and polish your very own Jurassic ammonite and take home a special piece of history. Pick a fossil from a selection, then sand it working from coarser grained sandpaper to finer grains. Lastly polish it up until it's smooth and shiny revealing the hidden patterns and details formed millions of years ago.

This is a drop in activity lasting approximately 30 minutes, so there is no need to book.  No previous experience is needed and all tools and materials are provided. The activity is free with museum admission although there is a small charge for your chosen fossil.
