Contemporary landscape artist Lin Cudlipp explores returns to the Malthouse Gallery with her next solo exhibition of paintings.
Lin is a passionate painter and uses expansive layers of washes to create sweeping skies, adding and removing paint to create veils of light. Palette knives, brushstrokes and fingers create impasto marks, adding contrast, texture and energy evocative of land and sea. These spatial paintings are an invitation to breathe, a place in this busy world to contemplate and reconnect with your own experiences, a place of freedom and escape.
Come and explore Lin’s paintings and take yourself into the natural world of vast, open spaces full of colour, light and atmosphere. Meet the artist who will be at the gallery all week and browse lots of smaller items, handmade books, cards and pottery to inspire.
The exhibition runs from Monday 21 until Sunday 27 July and is open daily from 10am until 4:30pm. Admission is free of charge.
