Mixed media artist Julie Oldfield is a member of the Society of Women Artists and has been shortlisted at the Royal Academy. Although she started painting on canvas, Julie’s extraordinary paintings are now mainly on copper and brass sheets after she became interested in using various textural materials and site-specific elements.
Julie's latest exhibition Polychromatic showcases her vibrant paintings working with brass, copper, steel and canvas, creating colours from starving the copper sheets of oxygen during the burning process. These works are inspired by skies at various times of the day
A selection of Julie's large giclée prints will be available to buy, providing an affordable option and complimenting her originals.
The exhibition runs from Friday 26 June until Sunday 5 July and is open daily from 10:30am until 4:30pm. Admission is free of charge.
