The Town Mill will be celebrating Real Bread Week during February half term. Real Bread Week is an annual, international celebration of additive-free bread and the people that create it. Come and experience how delicious and nutritious wholemeal flour is milled (nothing else is added) which is then ready to be used for your bread baking.
* Flour milling demonstrations
* The huge water wheel will be turning throughout the day
* Bread tastings and baking Q&A's (all bread made with Town Mill flour)
* Turn the ancient hand querns and watch your own flour being made from grain!
* Easy to bake bread recipes. Milled flour and baking kits will be available in the shop to have a go at making your own homemade loaf
* Additional activities for kids including 'baking themed' colouring in and have a go at creating your 'best sandwich' recipe cards
Join the Town Mill all week from 11am until 3pm daily (Sunday 11am-1:30pm). No booking is required and entry is free with donations and flour sales in the shop always welcome to support the charity.
Please note opening times are subject to change and milling demonstrations and bread tastings may not take place every day.
