The Marine Theatre will be hosting a free matinee screening of the film The Longest Day as part of the town's commemorations of the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Shot in a docudrama style, the acclaimed 1962 film tells the story behind the D-Day landings at Normandy from both the Allied and German points of view.
The event is free of charge but is ticketed with unreserved seating.
