The Town Mill Grain to Loaf Experience

Enjoy a unique journey from grain to loaf at The Town Mill this June. Experience a private flour milling demonstration with an expert miller, hear all about the grains used and how milling is still done on site using a water wheel and stone-ground method to produce healthy, nutritious, wholemeal flour.

Afterwards, your miller will join you for a delicious light lunch at the Strawberry Tree Restaurant in a private space on site. Enjoy charcuterie, cheeses, salads and pickles, accompanied by bread, made with delicious Town Mill flour (bread made by Black Dog Tea Room, Uplyme).

Before you leave, you will be presented with some Town Mill flour and a bread recipe for you to try at home!

The experience costs £65 per person and is limited to 10 places.

Itinerary:

10:30am – Tea and coffee at The Strawberry Tree on arrival

11am-12:15pm – Head over to the Mill for a private tour and flour milling demonstration

1215pm – Light lunch at The Strawberry Tree Restaurant. Enjoy charcuterie, cheeses, pickles & salad, accompanied by bread, made using Town Mill flour. A drink is also included (beer, wine or soft drink)

130pm – Finish and take away your Town Mill flour and bread recipe
