Ken Gollop - When the Yanks came to Lyme

Dates for next event to be confirmed

The Friends of Lyme Regis Philpot Museum are hosting local historian Ken Gollop, who will be giving an illustrated talk on ‘When the Yanks came to Lyme’ on Sunday 3rd March at Woodmead Halls in recognition of the 80th anniversary of their arrival in November 1943. At that time, US troops were secretly stationed throughout the south west of England in preparation for the D-Day landings in Normandy and Mr Gollop has extensively researched this period using archival material.

Admission to the event is £4 which will be used to aid museum work. Card payments are accepted.
