Incurable Optimist - A Comedy Night with Paul Mayhew-Archer

Dates for next event to be confirmed

Join the hilarious Paul Mayhew-Archer for a laugh-out-loud evening of entertainment, while raising money and awareness for the Lyme Regis District branch of Parkinson's UK.

When comedy writer Paul Mayhew-Archer was told he had Parkinson’s he refused to take the condition too seriously. Instead, he started doing jokes about it, with appearances at the Royal Albert Hall and the Comedy Store. He’s best known as the co-writer of The Vicar of Dibley, Mrs Brown's Boys and Roald Dahl's Esio Trot, amongst many others.  In 2015 Paul made an award-winning documentary about Parkinson’s called Parkinson’s – The Funny Side.

He now takes his one-man show Incurable Optimist on tour around the UK, raising money for local Parkinson’s groups.

Incurable Optimist is an inspiring show about the therapeutic power of comedy and laughter.  Paul talks about his 40 year comedy career and the funny side of Parkinson's. This is probably the best and only chance you have of seeing Paul perform in our area, so, please don't miss the opportunity to see this highly talented and infectiously hilarious man on your doorstep.

This event is being organised by the Lyme Regis District Parkinson's Support Group and all proceeds from the event will go to them.

Doors open 6.15pm. Tickets £15 per person via Ticketsource.
