Lyme residents come out to see Joshua Denning leave for his prom

Joshua Denning dressed to impress for his Mountjoy School prom this evening. Joshua is autistic but that has certainly not held him back, he is well known within the Lyme Regis Community for his fundraising efforts, and you’ll see him, and his Mum Annette who supports him so well, at virtually every event with a collection bucket. Over the years he’s collected thousands for local good causes including for Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival, Lyme Regis RNLI, British Legion and The Town Band. He’s a much loved character, always with a smile on his face and an inspiration to many. The number of locals who turned out to see him leave for his prom this evening is testament to the very high esteem in which he is held.

As his time at Mountjoy comes to an end, a new adventure begins as at the end of the summer Joshua will be taking up a role with Employ my Ability at the Dovecote Café within The Walled Garden Moreton near Dorchester.
