A good crowd lined Broad Street to watch the Lyme Regis Lifeboat parade today as part of the town’s celebrations marking 200 years of having a lifeboat service.
The volunteer crew and members of the RNLI Lyme Regis team paraded to Cobb Gate, where Cllr Philip Evans MBE, Mayor of Lyme Regis, paid tribute to the dedication and life-saving work of the local RNLI.
The event forms part of the special anniversary celebrations honouring two centuries of service to the community. Members of Lyme Regis Coastguard and the Lyme Regis Fire crew also joined the parade, highlighting the strong partnership between the town’s emergency services.
