Got a broken toaster? A wobbly chair? A favourite sweater with a tear? Bring them along to the Lyme Regis Repair Café and their team of skilled volunteers will do their best to help you repair, restore, and reuse your items, saving you money.
The Repair Café takes place on the third Saturday of every month from 10am until 1pm at the Boat Building Academy. The team will aim to repair bicycles, small electrical appliances, lamps, wooden objects and small furniture, laptops, textiles, toys and jewellery as well as mending clothing and sharpening garden tools. Repairs are free of charge, but a donation is welcome.
If you have nothing to fix, come along anyway to enjoy a cuppa , meet the team and share your ideas on how to grow this community initiative.
The Lyme Regis Repair Café is part of an international network aiming to reduce waste through community-driven repairs. It supports, educates and empowers individuals to fix their broken items, fostering a culture of sustainability and resourcefulness.
