Everyone will be going a little bit quackers this Halloween as hundreds of individually numbered, bright yellow toy ducks take to the River Lym for a spooktacular Duck Race on Saturday 31st October 2026.
At midday, the ducks will be released at Woodmead Road Bridge, before hurtling downstream in a mad paddle towards the finish line at Jordan Flats.
With Halloween falling on race day, expect plenty of quackers, creepy currents and a few spooky surprises as the ducks battle their way down the river!
There will be a host of cash prizes for the first, second and third ducks over the finish line and a bonus prize for the last duck that manages to negotiate the river course.
1st duck across the finish line wins £100
2nd £20
3rd £20
Last duck home £10

The organisers take their environmental responsibilities seriously as volunteers ensure all plastic ducks are captured in a giant net just after the finish line and stored until they race again.
All proceeds raised go to Lyme Heartbeat - a voluntary group will installs and maintains a network of 24 hour access defibrillators in Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
