Plastic Free Lyme Regis

Community

In June 2018 Lyme Regis became the first town in Dorset to gain the title Plastic Free from the Plastic Free Communities initiative of Surfers Against Sewage.

Plastic Free Lyme Regis works with the local council, businesses, organisations and residents to reduce the amount of single use plastic in Lyme Regis. As well as promoting recycling and encouraging reuse, people carrying refillable bottles are encouraged to refill them with free tap water from over 20 businesses in the town.
