Langmoor and Lister Gardens flowed with a river of light as hundreds gathered for a special Torchlight Procession to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The event took place on the evening of Thursday 2nd June, the first day of an extended 4-day bank holiday weekend.
Participants walked with flaming torches through the gardens down onto the sandy beach where a ring of fire was formed. Torchbearers then cast their torches to ignite a giant beacon on the beach before the town's Mayor lit a beacon on the North Wall of the harbour.
It was wonderful experience for those taking part and a truly breathtaking spectacle for those watching.
