Rotary Club of Lyme Regis donates £500 to YFW Bloodbikes

Sunday 24th May 2026

The Rotary Club of Lyme Regis has donated £500 to YFW Bloodbikes, a charity whose dedicated volunteers provide a free, rapid, and reliable emergency medical motorcycle courier service supporting the NHS 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The charity transports blood, platelets, blood and tissue samples, medication, documents, CT scans, and medical equipment between hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, and private addresses across Dorset and much of Somerset.

John McCallum of the Rotary Club of Lyme Regis said: “At a time when fuel costs are rising, for YFW it is a huge imposition on their precious funds, all of which come from donations from members of the public.

“We felt it absolutely necessary to support this vital service organisation and hope it encourages others to donate.”
