The Royal Lion Hotel, Lyme Regis, part of Hall & Woodhouse, has donated £4,038 to Lyme Regis Foodbank following a series of successful fundraising initiatives.
The total was raised through a combination of events and activities, including a popular quiz night and the donation of a percentage of takings on selected days, with strong support from both locals and visitors.
Sue Davies, the Chair of Lyme Regis Foodbank, who is pictured with Kent Davis, General Manager of the Royal Lion, expressed sincere thanks for the contribution. She said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Royal Lion for this generous donation. It will make a real difference in helping us support individuals and families in need across our local community, particularly at a time when demand for our services remains high.”
Kent Davis added: “It is very much part of the ethos of Hall & Woodhouse to support and enrich the communities we serve. We’re delighted to be able to donate this amount to such a worthwhile local cause and would like to thank all of our customers and team members who helped make it possible.”
The donation will go directly towards supporting the foodbank’s ongoing work, providing essential emergency assistance to those facing hardship in the Lyme Regis area.
