A fantastic £1,029 was raised for Lyme Regis Foodbank during last Tuesday’s Charity Day at the Royal Lion Hotel in Broad Street.
Sue Davies, Chair of Lyme Regis Foodbank, pictured here with Kent Davis, General Manager of the Royal Lion, described it as “a wonderful amount that will help ensure the Foodbank can continue supporting those most in need in our community.”
The Foodbank provides emergency food to local people in crisis, with clients referred by local organisations such as Citizens Advice, Social Services, GP surgeries, and schools. The service relies entirely on the generosity of the local community.
Kent Davis said the hotel is proud to play an active role in the community and aims to raise a further £3,000 by the end of January.
