1471 Ducks Make a Splash in Lyme Regis Summer Duck Race - Lyme Regis Carnival Week 2025

A total of 1,471 ducks took to the River Lim for the Lyme Regis Summer Duck Race, a much-loved highlight of Lyme Regis Carnival Week.
The coveted title of Duck Race Champion 2025 – and the £100 prize – went to Duck 1427, trained by Georgia Terry.

1st – Duck 1427, Georgia Terry – £100
2nd – Duck 1702, Gay Chiplin Dowell – £50
3rd – Duck 1748, Alison Davies – £20
Last Duck Home – Duck 1140, Stefan Hurley – £10

The in-river team – Sam Harding, Steve Parsons, Mark Bujniewicz, Mike Tappin, Keiron Scott, and Noah Turner – worked alongside the Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival crew to keep the race running smoothly and ensure every duck was collected for future races.
