After 35 years, the Three Cups could finally be getting a new lease of life

Thursday 3rd September 2026

Much anticipated plans for Lyme Regis’ iconic Three Cups building, which has stood derelict for more than 35 years, are to be unveiled to the public next week.

After decades of uncertainty surrounding the former Three Cups Hotel in Broad Street, members of the public will have the opportunity to view drawings for revised proposals to redevelop the long empty building which has stood vacant since 1990.

Nigel Jones, from Palmers’ property agent Chesters Harcourt, has confirmed that a public exhibition will be held at Lyme Regis Football Club on Wednesday 9 September, between 4pm and 8pm.

Anyone wishing to see the proposals is welcome to attend the exhibition and view the plans.

The proposed project is being delivered by Lyme Regis resident and property developer Jim Larcombe, together with building contractor Phil Loaring of Cobb View Developments Ltd, in partnership with Palmers Brewery, which owns the building.
