Alexandra Hotel & Restaurant

The Alexandra is an independent, family-owned, 25-bedroom hotel situated in the heart of Lyme Regis, nestled on Dorset’s UNESCO Heritage site of the Jurassic Coast. The hotel has continued its long-standing traditions of hotel keeping and true hospitality for over 124 years. 

As befits a Grade II listed Georgian building, each of the rooms are individually designed in a traditional English style with a contemporary twist. Most rooms boast breathtaking coastal views.

Set within over an acre of delightful gardens, a path leads you out onto the town gardens above the seafront where you can meander directly down to the beach. The centre of town is just a 2 minute walk away with its independent shops and cosy pubs.

Dining options

The Ammonite Restaurant in the light filled orangery provides relaxed dining with an indulgent seasonally changing menu. Lunch and Afternoon are served daily in the Ammonite and also on the stunning sea view Garden Terrace. Traditional Sunday Roast in the colder months and their Summer BBQ on the terrace are always a great way to enjoy the weekend. The Alexandra is also open to breakfast too!
