Easter Monday Duck Race 2025

1770 ducks took part in the Lyme Regis Easter Monday Duck Race in aid of Lyme Regis Christmas Lights.

A big crowd lined the river bank to cheer on the ducks from the start line near Higher Mill Flats on Windsor Terrace to the finish line at Jordan Flats.

The race was started by the Mayor of Lyme Regis, Cllr Philip Evans and the Mayoress, Jackie Evans.

1st duck across the finish line was duck number 1485 trained by Deborah Jowett winning £100

2nd 1340 - Jen Longley

3rd 1230 - Sarah Allen

Last duck - 770 Makeda Mela

The race was sponsored by Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium

Sam Harding, Mike Tappin and Mark Bujniewicz of Lyme Regis Fire Crew plus Steve Parsons and Jacob Denning did a great job assisting the ducks along the course and collecting them all up at the end.
