Lyme Folk Weekend

Dates for next event to be confirmed

Lyme Folk Weekend is a three day festival of free live folk music, shanty singing, storytelling, Morris dancing and ceilidh along the seafront. As well as the free events on Marine Parade, the Marine Theatre will also play host to a number of the UK's finest folk musicians. You can buy tickets for individual concerts, or save money with a Weekend Pass for all four shows.

On Friday night, award winning folk singer Eliza Carthy will be joined by her son Finn Curran-Carthy, Nick Hart, Angeline Morrison and Tim Van Eyken to honour and celebrate the immense legacy and musical back catalogue of her father, Martin Carthy. The set features some of Martin’s best loved work from all eras of his career, spanning from his debut to final albums.

On Saturday night, the six musicians in The Sandy Denny Project will be performing their interpretation of Sandy's wonderful work, taking the audience on an emotional musical journey through her best loved songs.

On Sunday afternoon Bob Whitley and Lee MacKenzie return with their brilliant brand new show, Ophelia. Written and composed by Bob, Ophelia is a musical story of love, treachery and tragedy.

The weekend rounds off with patrons Ninebarrow & Friends on Sunday evening. Jon and Jay will be joined by husband and wife duo Honey and the Bear and Nick Wyke and Becki Driscoll.
