For World Parkinson’s Day, Lyme Regis Parkinson's Support Group are lighting up the trees in Langmoor Gardens blue.
As evening falls, the Group will illuminate the trees in Langmoor Gardens with a striking blue light. This special display marks World Parkinson’s Day on Saturday 11 April, as Parkinson’s UK encourages everyone to “Make It Blue” — whether by lighting up buildings, hosting blue-themed bake sales, or wearing blue for the day.
Stephanie Colston, Co-ordinator of the Lyme Regis District Parkinson’s Support Group, is proud to help lead the effort. She said:
“As someone living with Parkinson’s, it is incredibly moving to see the community unite to mark World Parkinson’s Day. It’s about more than lighting up buildings — it’s about raising awareness of the challenges we face and highlighting the support that is available. By turning the trees in Langmoor Gardens blue, we want to show that no one is alone with Parkinson’s. There is support out there, and there are people who care.”
