Lyme Regis fell silent this morning to mark Remembrance Sunday.
A parade made its way from the seafront to St Michael’s Church for a service followed by a two minute silence at Cobb Gate to honour the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice. As the parade passed the Guildhall, the Mayor of Lyme Regis, Cllr Philip Evans MBE and the Mayoral party joined.
Tilly Jardine performed a moving rendition of the Last Post before the two minute silence. Lyme Regis Town Band performed the national anthem.
There were representatives from a number of the town’s organisations in the parade including Lyme Regis RNLI, Lyme Regis Coastguards, Lyme Regis Fire Crew, Powder Monkeys Explorer Sea Scout Unit, Lyme Regis Majorettes, Lyme Regis Youth Football and Lyme Regis Pantomime Society.
