Lyme Regis Easter Bonnet Parade 2023

Lyme Regis was aglow with colour on Easter Sunday as paradegoers gathered to show off their fancy hats and bonnets at the annual Easter headpiece extravaganza.

Entrants gathered in Lyme Regis Baptist Church at 2.15pm for judging with gift vouchers from Lyme Regis Bookshop awarded to the top 3 entries in each of the age categories.

Mayor of Lyme Regis, Cllr Michaela Ellis and Mayor's consort, Alan Ellis were in attendance to present the prizes.

Judges for the day were Sharon Baxter, from the Slipway shop near the Cobb, who was accompanied by her friend Penny.

The parade commenced outside the church at 3pm, making its way down Broad Street to Cobb Gate before proceeding along the seafront to the Jubilee Pavilion.

Lyme Regis Majorettes performed in the parade.

The annual event is organised by Lyme Regis Regatta and Carnival Committee.
