Tapas consist of a series of small dishes, usually shared around the table and is a fun way to socialise and share food. Create wonderful connection and food-sharing memories with your friends and family with these delicious tapas recipes from Spain's Mediterranean and Atlantic coastlines. Learn how to create five crowd-pleasing fish and seafood tapas dishes with this three and a half hour class hosted by Giselle Benrimoj followed by lunch. Proud Gibraltarian Giselle has spent much of her life living and cooking in Andalusia in southern Spain. Giselle worked and trained in kitchens from her teens and has worked as a chef ever since.

The experience takes place between 11am and 2:30pm at the Strawberry Tree restaurant and costs £105 per person, or a discounted price of £90 per person for 2 people. Please call 01297 445757 to book.

Itinerary

Cooking class 11am - 1pm

Together you will make your own marinated escabeche mussels, luxurious cold salpicon seafood salad and hake and potato soup, a specialty from the city of Malaga.

Break 1pm - 1:10pm

Time for a complimentary glass of wine or a beer! Rest or explore the Town Mill area and all that it has to offer.

Demo class 1:10pm - 1:30pm

Bring your wine back to the classroom and settle down while Giselle demonstrates two more dishes; steamed clams in white wine and garlic and roast monkfish tails and serrano ham skewers, a delicious classic from San Sebastian.

Lunch 1pm - 2:30pm

It's time to eat! Enjoy the dishes you have created with a communal tapas lunch.
