Royal British Legion Lyme Regis

Community

The Royal British Legion is the nation’s leading Armed Forces charity, providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces, past and present, and their families. It is also the National Custodian of Remembrance, safeguarding the Military Covenant between the Nation and its Armed Forces.

Best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem — the red poppy — the Legion plays a vital role in ensuring that the sacrifices of the Armed Forces community are never forgotten.

The Royal British Legion Lyme Regis Branch organises the town’s Remembrance weekend events, as well as other commemorations, including those for VE Day and VJ Day.
